Broadly, my work examines how our social context, interactions, and relationships shape how we: think, feel, learn, and learn to think about how we feel.
I am an applied, interdisciplinary, researcher – my research falls at the intersection of educational psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, and the learning sciences. The primary goal of all my work is to produce findings that can readily inform practices in schools, homes, and communities.
In pursuit of this goal, I have established a track-record of developing sustained research-practice partnerships (RPPs) and engaging in co-design processes (with educators, students, youth, non-profit organizations, mental health practitioners, and administrators) to study psychological constructs in their naturalistic contexts and in ways that prioritize equity.
